Wheesung has said he is working on a new album set for a release next month.
Through a message on his official website on Tuesday, Wheesung said he plans to release his album within October and asked for forgiveness for its delay, saying it is "to raise its level of completion."
He then wrote, "I am at a set to shoot the music video for my album. I'm shooting it with full fervor."
The upcoming record, a mini-album containing five tracks, will be the last record Wheesung releases before entering the military later this year to fulfill the two-year duty required of all Korean men.
Wheesung, whose real name is Choi Wheesung, began his music career in 1999 and has since released a number of albums and singles featuring his hit songs "Can't I," "Insomnia" and "With Me."
