2AM Jo Kwon opens up 1st solo album release date

2AM's main vocalist has finally revealed the release date of his first solo album, according to the group's promoter Big Hit Entertainment on Friday.

Big Hit delivered the news through a statement, saying that only the title track of Jo's solo album will be revealed online on June 18, while the album hits stores on June 25.

"The concept that we have prepared for Jo Kwon goes so well with the title track that will be released in about two weeks. You'll see Jo Kwon in a completely different light," an official with Big Hit was quoted as saying.

The agency added that Jo Kwon has worked with a number of famous producers and choreographers for the upcoming album.

The Korean belter made his debut as the leader of ballad group 2AM after being trained for over eight years under the management of his agency, JYP Entertainment.

The group made their official debut in July 2008 with the single "This Song" and gained popularity through K-pop hits such as "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die" and "I Did Wrong."

He had also released his first solo digital single "The Day I Confess My Love" and it was played in reality show "We Got Married - Season 2" (2009-2011), in which he appeared on with Brown Eyed Girls' Ga-in.
