Kim Jeong-hoon driver's license cancelled for drunk driving

Singer-actor Kim Jeong-hoon has gotten his driver's license cancelled for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to police on Monday.

Gangnam Police Station said that Kim, 31, ate and drank at a restaurant in Seoul on Saturday from which he drove off in his own car when a person who saw him do so reported him to police.

Measurement showed that Kim's alcohol level stood at 0.129 percent at the time, high enough for him to get his license cancelled.

Kim is currently starring in cable network tvN's Wednesday and Thursday drama "In Need of Romance" alongside actress Choi Yeo-jung as well as shooting the movie "Punchline" alongside veteran actor Yoo Dong-gun.

He is also set to host two music shows in Japan including Fuji TV's new show "Gaon Monthly Countdown" which will air every two weeks starting September and M.NET JAPAN's new show "M-STUDIO," a talk show featuring K-pop and J-pop artists, which will show every week starting late-August.

Kim made his debut in male duo UN in 2000 and later expanded his career into acting and also began his solo singing career which gained him popularity in Japan.
