Five-member Korean boy band The Boss will officially launch their singing career in Japan next February, according to their agency Open-World Entertainment on Tuesday.
Open-World announced through a press release that the boys recently signed a contract with Japan's Sony Music Record, Sony Music's top record label, through which they will release their Japan debut album.
The Boss, whose name in Chinese characters is “大國男兒,” stands for “The Boys of Super Space” and is composed of members Hyun-min, Injun, Jay, Karam and Mika.
The group made its debut in Korea in March of this year with their single album “The Admirer” and released their second album “Awake” three months later.
Local Japanese paper "Daily Sports" reported that some 10,000 people signed up for a seat to the show limited to 250 fans.
