JYJ celebrates White Day with fans

Korean trio JYJ celebrated White Day with their fans, attracting some 7,000 attendees to their fan meeting over the weekend.

The group's promoter Prain Inc. announced in a press release on Monday that the boys kicked off the celebration at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium on March 12, performing their songs "Empty" and "Be My Girl" from their album "The Beginning" and "Found You" from the soundtrack to KBS' hit TV series "SungKyunKwan Scandal."

They continued their music performance with tracks "Mission" and "Nine" from their special music essay album "Their Rooms" and held other events such as a question and answer session with fans with special guest appearances by musical actor Shin Young-sook, singer Kim Sung-soo and JYJ member Yuchun's younger brother Park Yu-hwan.

"We want to thank all the fans for coming to our celebration and we hope to spend more time with you in the future,” the members of JYJ were quoted as saying, ending the event with an encore performance of their song "Fallen Leaves" and passed out candy to fans.

"We had many fans worry for the safety of Junsu but he returned to Korea safely thanks to fans' support," Back Chang-ju the CEO of C-Jes Entertainment was quoted as saying. "We also have plans to release this fan meeting in DVD format which will be available for the members of JYJ's official fan club."

JYJ, formed of Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu, made their debut in 2004 as part of popular boy band TVXQ, but despite their phenomenal success in Asia, they ceased their activities as a group after becoming involved in a legal dispute with the Korean agency SM Entertainment.

They made their comeback to the music scene in October of last year as a trio under the name JYJ and released their record in mid-October after which they held a global showcase and held their first concert as JYJ.
