With "The Amazing Spider-Man," "The Avengers" and "Dark Knight Rises" opened in theaters this year, superheros are on everyone's mind.
Korean boy band BEAST is to continue the fever here by releasing their very own comic book series featuring themselves as superheros, according to a press release by publishing company Planis Entertainment Wednesday.
"The BEAST" is an action-fantasy series that tells the friendship and adventures of BEAST members who possess supernatural powers.
In the series, leader Yoon Du-jun has hyperkinesis superpower while Yong Jun-hyung is able to read minds. Lee Gi-kwang holds the power of psychokinesis and Yang Yo-seop is capable of putting people in a state of hallucination through singing. Lastly, Son Dong-woon holds a photographic memory and Jang Hyun-seung has the power to teleport.
BEAST broke into the music scene with the debut album "Beast Is the B2ST" in 2009 and has produced a number of hit songs such as "Shock," "Mystery," "Beautiful" and "Fiction."
The boys recently made their return to the local music scene with the fifth mini-album "Midnight Sun" and staged their comeback performance of their title track "Beautiful Night" on major televised music programs over the weekend.
