MBC to host Hallyu concert in Thailand and Japan

Some of the biggest names in the Korean music market will be performing in Thailand and Japan for a concert hosted by major Korean broadcasting company MBC.

An official from MBC's televised music show "Music Central" confirmed that they will hold a concert in Bangkok of Thailand on March 12 at the Rajamangala Stadium for the celebration of the company's 50th anniversary.

The poster for the upcoming concert in Thailand shows that K-pop artists TVXQ, Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls, 2PM , BEAST, CNBLUE, miss A, Secret, 4Minute and T-ara will be performing, while 2PM's Nichkhun and Girls' Generation Yoori and Tiffany will host the event.

"We are still working on the final details for the show in Thailand and preparing various things for the concert in Japan, as well as the lineup of artists," the PR official from MBC explained, without providing further details.

Various reports have said that the concert in Japan is set for mid-May at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo and will be hosted jointly by MBC, Japan's Fuji TV and major recording company AVEX.
