Top female idols Girls' Generation will soon heat up the summer in Japan with their new single due out next month.
Their official Japanese website showed on Wednesday that the nine-member group will resume their singing activities there with their new Japanese single, "Paparazzi," set to go on sale on June 27.
The group's last release in the country was the repackaged version of their first full-length Japanese album "GIRLS' GENERATION" released in June, 2011, which was certified double platinum that year.
It lists a number of their hit songs such as "Gee," "GENIE," Run Devil Run" and Japanese songs "you-aholic" and "Let It Rain" while the DVD features the music videos to "MR. TAXI," "GENIE" and "GEE."
Additionally, Girls' Generation saw their third Japanese single, "MR. TAXI," also achieve double platinum status in Japan after it reached half a million digital ringtone downloads.
Girls' Generation, composed of Taeyeon, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Sooyoung and Yuri, expanded their careers into Japan in September 2010 and has since released several Japanese singles.
