KBS weekend drama “My Love My Family” came out a winner on weekly TV charts for the third week in-a-row as of the first week of June, revealed surveys by two media research companies on Tuesday.
“My Love My Family” was marked the nation’s most watched show after posting average viewership ratings of 22.2 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics’ (TNmS) report and 22.9 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll, though the latter figure was about a 1.5 percent drop in number from the previous week.
KBS drama “Bittersweet My Life,” about the love and work of six young people starring Jung Eun-chae and Jay of TRAX, took the honor for runner-up after scoring an average viewership rating of 17.6 percent on TNmS’ report.
In contrast, AGB’s list had "The New Gisaeng Story" on the same ranking with an average viewership rating of 19.3 percent. The story, starring Lim Soo-hyang and Sung Hoon, tells a love story between a son from a conglomerate family and poor girl against the backdrop of a Korean traditional house of courtesans.
“Twinkle Twinkle” starring Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Yu-ri and Kim Seok-hun tells a story about the contrasting lives of two women who got switched at birth.
Other shows that made to the top 10 of viewership rating on both charts were MBC drama “The Greatest Love,” MBC weekend drama “Can You Hear My Heart,” KBS 9 o’clock News and MBC Star Audition Concert.
