K-pop idols 2PM are scheduled to appear on a music variety show in Japan, according to their agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE) on Monday.
"The boys had already recorded Japan's Fuji TV's music variety show 'Hey! Hey! Hey!' when they were in the country last month," a PR official from JYPE told 10Asia over the phone. "They performed the Japanese version of their hit song 'Heartbeat' as well as talk with hosts DOWNTOWN."
Meanwhile, the six-member boy band is set to unveil their Japanese debut single "Take Off" on May 18, which has already placed first on Japan's USEN weekly music chart and lyrics search website uta-net.com's in mid-April ahead of its release.
Composed of members Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Junho, Chansung, Junsu and Taecyeon, 2PM has been one of the most popular boy bands in Korea since their debut in 2008, holding numerous hits under their belt including “10 out of 10,” “Again & Again,” “Only You” and "Without You."
They also took made a previous appearance on Japan's Mezamashi TV in February and performed at the fashion show for Tokyo Girls Collection (TGC) last month.
