Korean actress Bae Donna has been invited to the forthcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), according to local film distribution company NEW.
NEW announced in a press release Friday that Bae will attend the opening ceremony and strut the red carpet at the 37th TIFF, which will be held from September 6 to 16.
"Cloud Atlas," which is set to make its U.S premiere on October 26, is Andy and Lana Wachowski and Tom Tykwer's film adaptation of David Mitchell's 2004 novel of the same name.
The film focuses on how actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future. It also stars Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Ben Whishaw and James Darcy.
Founded in 1976, the 2012 TIFF will open with Rian Johnson’s futuristic thriller "Looper."
