Actress Jung Yu-mi cast in upcoming Chinese film

Korean actress Jung Yu-mi has been cast as the female lead in an upcoming Chinese film, according to her agency Neos Entertainment.

On Monday, Neos announced in a press release that Jung will take on the role of Moon Wan opposite famed Hong Kong actor Leon Lai and actress Gao Yuanyuan in Chinese film "Nobleman's Path (translated title)" which will open in theaters in the Asian region later this year.

"Nobleman's Path" will continue from the final death scene of the film "Shanghai Grand" in which Huh Moon-kang (Lai) comes back to life after he is brutally shot to death.

Jung made her debut in the entertainment industry through a food commercial in 2003. She has since appeared in various TV series such as China's TV series "Five Star Hotel" in 2007 and Korean shows such as "The Great King Sejong (KBS, 2008), "Friend, Our Legend (MBC, 2009)" and "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown (MBC, 2010)."

She is currently working on upcoming movie "You're My Pet (translated title)" alongside actress Kim Ha-neul and Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk.
