Actor Lee Byung-hun has decided to appear in a historical film, a pic he had been mulling since several weeks ago.
A press release by his agency BH Entertainment on Monday said that Lee will star in movie "I am the King of Joseon" (translated title) where he will play the double role of a king and a person of low class.
The pic, set to crank in early next year, will be helmed by director Chu Chang-min of "Mapado" (2005) and "Late Blossom" (2010) and written by screenwriter Hwang Jo-yeon of critically acclaimed hit pic "Oldboy" (2003).
In the meantime, Lee is currently filming the sequel to "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra" in the United States.
