G-Dragon conquers Korean music charts

G-Dragon’s solo song “Heartbreaker” took the Mutizen Song award on SBS music show “Inkigayo” over the weekend.

The Mutizen Song is the show’s equivalent of the No. 1 song.

Receiving the award for the first time on the show on Sunday, G-Dragon thanked the members of his group Big Bang in his acceptance speech.

G-Dragon’s “Heartbreaker” defeated previous week winner Kara’s “Wanna” to reclaim the top spot in just two weeks after releasing his first solo single.

The song is taking the music industry by storm, sweeping most online download charts and also claiming the top prize on KBS's Music Bank two weeks in a row.
