K-pop idols Alexander and Ki-bum of boy band U-Kiss have decided to leave the group, according to their agency NH Media on Wednesday.
"Alexander and Ki-bum have decided to drop out of U-Kiss for different reasons," an official from NH Media told Asia Economic Daily's Sport Today over the phone. "They will not be taking part in the group's comeback album."
The official went on to say that they were taken aback by the news leaking out so early since Alexander planned to leave the group after fulfilling their activities overseas. "They're not leaving because something bad happened," the official stressed.
In a statement released a few hours later, NH said that they had thought about the issue for a long time before going forth with preparations for the upcoming album in accordance with Alexander and Ki-bum's decisions.
The group has been preparing for their return to the local music scene with their upcoming album which was scheduled for release this month.
