Son Ye-jin to Debut Dark Family Saga

Actress Son Ye-jin is revving up to get back in the spotlight with the release of her new thriller.

"Blood Ties" [tentative title], co-starring veteran actor Kim Kap-soo, is set to hit local theaters in the first half of 2013, according to Korea's distributor CJ Entertainment's press release.

The dark family tale pivots around a woman who grew up with a dad that loves her unconditionally. The women, who dreams about becoming a journalist, casts doubt on her father's identity one day after accidently hearing the voice of a crime suspect.

Thinking that her father owns a shady secret of committing a serious crime, she begins a long and difficult journey of tracking down her father's past.

Alongside the principal cast members, actors Lim Hyung-joon, Lee Gyu-han and actress Jo An are making their appearances in the movie.
