Korean actor Kim Jae-won was discharged from the military today, completing the two-year duty required of all Korean men.
The 29-year-old actor had served at the Defense Media Agency of the National Defense Ministry in Yongsan of Seoul since March 2009.
He further explained that he was eager to start acting whenever he watched dramas while in the barracks. "I haven't decided on my next project and whether it's a movie or a series I think we will be working on it from mid-year onward."
Kim made his debut in 2001 in the SBS sitcom "Honey Honey" and rose to fame through MBC's romantic drama "Romance" alongside actress Kim Ha-neul.
Kim will be visiting Japan next month, holding a series of fan meetings in Osaka on February 19 and 20.
