TVXQ! enjoy sales boom on Oricon charts with new concert DVD

Korean singing duo TVXQ!'s live concert DVD has shined bright atop two Oricon charts.

According to Oricon's official website Friday, TVXQ!'s concert DVD titled "TOHOSHINKI LIVE TOUR 2012 TONE," which went on sale in the country on July 25, topped the DVD music daily chart and DVD compilation daily chart on the day of its release.

The DVD features the behind-the-scene footage and live show from their four-month-long concert "TVXQ! LIVE TOUR 2012~ TONE~" held in 11 cities with a total of 26 shows this year.

In mid-January, TVXQ! launched their nationwide tour in Yokohama and followed it up with a series of shows in Nagoya, Hokkaido, Niigata, Sapporo, Hiroshima, Fukui, Osaka and Saitama.

Seeing a successful singing career in Japan, TVXQ! has also moved over a record number of 3.1 million copies of their singles released to date, making them one of handful of artists that have made such an accomplishment.

The duo also saw their 35th Japanese single, "Android," place at No. 1 on Oricon's daily and weekly singles chart las week.

Composed of Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho, TVXQ! made a transition from five-member group to a two-member unit before releasing the fifth full-length album, “Keep Your Head Down” in 2011.

In the meantime, TVXQ! will take part at a-nation's annual music fest, which is set to take place at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on August 25 and 26.

The boys will share the stage with other top K-pop artists such as Big Bang, Super Junior, 2NE1 and U-Kiss.
