K-pop idol Woo-hyun of boy band INFINITE will be making his small screen debut in a forthcoming MBC TV series, making him the fourth member to step into acting shoes.
Woollim Entertainment told the magazine over the phone on Wednesday that Woo-hyun has been cast to star alongside T-ara's Hyomin in fantasy sitcom "The 1,000th Man” (translated title).
"The 1,000th Man," set to air on August 10, tells the story of a 'gumiho' [a nine-tailed fox] that must feed on 999 livers from men in order to become a human. Played by Hyomin, the nine-tailed fox struggles to find the 1,000th liver, which has to come from the man she truly loves.
Woo-hyun made his debut as one of the main vocalists of INFINITE in 2010. The group is well-known for their hit songs including "Come Back Again," "Before the Dawn (BTD)," "She's Back," "Nothing's Over," "Be Mine," “Paradise” and "The Chaser."
Meanwhile, INFINITE is gearing up for their summer concert, dubbed “INFINITE CONCERT That Summer,” which will take place at the AX-KOREA in Seoul from August 8 to 12.
