2PM's Nichkhun nominated for Thailand's Kerd Awards

Boy group 2PM’s member Nichkhun has been shortlisted for Thailand’s Kerd Awards, his agency JYP Entertainment announced on Friday.

Nichkhun has been nominated under the segment of “Kerd of the Year,” which is equivalent to the grand prize, and he is currently in Thailand to attend the awards’ ceremony being held today.

“It’s such an honor to be invited to the event and I can’t believe that I’m nominated for the award. I’m quite nervous right now. I appreciate the panel of judges for picking me as a nominee,” he said through the agency’s press release this morning.

The annual ceremony is hosted by one of Thailand’s popular talk show hosts, Wutthithorn Woody Milintajinda; or also called Woody for short.

Kerd Awards selects the most influential person in the country under eight categories every year -- Born to grasp the main scene, Born to be famous, Born to be a comedian, Born to be pop, Born to be giver, Born to be together, Born to be hot and Kerd of the Year.

Meanwhile, Nichkhun’s group 2PM is prepping up to hold their official fan meeting, 2PM’s The Hottest Party,” in Seoul on Sunday.
