Korean actress Son Tae-young will strut the catwalk at a traditional Korean fashion show that celebrates 130th anniversary of South Korea and the United States' diplomatic ties.
The fashionsta will walk down the runway at the Hanbok [Korean traditional dress] fashion show to be held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington D.C. in the United States at 6 p.m. in local time on September 18, an official from The Presidential Council on Nation Branding told the magazine over the phone Friday.
“I will do my best to introduce the beautiful lines and colors of Hanbok and make it globalized,” Son expressed her excitement in a press release from her agency.
The upcoming fashion show is a welcome reception for the 2012 Korea Nation Branding Convention, where about 300 guests--including the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and South Korea's ambassador to the U.S. Choi Young-jin--are to attend.
Son Tae-young made her first public appearance through a beauty pageant contest in 2000 and has pursued her acting career in several TV series and movies until she married Hallyu star Kwone Sang-woo in 2008.
After she gave a birth to her son Luke next year, Son has been hosting Korean fashion cable channel Fashion N's talk show “Actress House - Season 2” since 2011.
