Main cast of upcoming film "Couples" [Sidus FNH]
The main cast for an upcoming romantic comedy whose translated title is "Couples" was revealed today, according to the film's distributor Sidus FNH.
On Tuesday, Sidus FNH announced in a press release that Korean actors Kim Ju-hyeok, Lee Yoon-ji, Lee Si-young, Oh Jung-se and Kong Hyung-jin have been cast in "Couples" which is scheduled to crank in May.
"Couples," helmed by director Jung Yong-gi, tells the story of Yoo-seok (played by Kim Ju-hyeok) who goes on a search for his girlfriend named Nari (played by Lee Si-young) who suddenly disappears.
Yoo-seok is followed by Ae-yeon (played by Lee Yoon-ji) who tries to help him find Nari, while Gong will take on the role of Byung-chan, the boss of a gang, that gets tangled up with Nari. Oh will play the best friend of Yoo-seok named Bok-nam who is also in search of Nari.
Kim Ju-hyeok first started out in the entertainment industry in 1998 and has since starred in a number of dramas such as SBS' "Rival (2002)" and "Lovers in Prague (2005)" opposite critically acclaimed actress Jeon Do-youn, and movies including "When Romance Meets Destiny (2006)" and "A Story of Bangja (2010)."
Lee Si-young became well-known after appearing in hit drama "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009 and starring in MBC's reality TV show "We Got Married" with Shinhwa member Jun Jin. She recently made headlines for winning the championship belt in boxing.
