DSP denies KARA Gu Hara has split with BEAST Yong Jun-hyung

DSP Media, talent agency to girl group KARA, has said Gu Hara is still dating with BEAST member Yong Jun-hyung, denying a report from earlier today that the couple has split up.

A report by local media outlet Star News said on Thursday that the two singers have broken off their relationship and decided to remain friends.

However, an official with DSP told 10Asia over the phone, "The news of their breakup is not true... The two are still together."

In the meantime, Yong's agency Cube Entertainment said they are checking into the matter.

In late-June, Gu and Yong made headlines after admitting they have begun a romantic relationship after photos of the two surfaced online.

Gu is a member of her also highly popular female K-pop group which debuted in 2007 and is considered one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market. The girls recently released the music video for title track "Step" from their third full-length album of the same name.

Yong is the rapper of his six-member group, which has been one of the most popular boy bands in Korea since making their debut in 2009. They have been focusing on promoting their first full-length Japanese album "SO BEAST" since its release last month.
