Boy group BEAST has been chosen to represent Korea at this year’s MTV world music festival set for late July, announced their agency Cube Entertainment on Tuesday.
Cube explained in a press release that BEAST will take to the main stage of the "MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia 2011 (WSLIM 2011)" scheduled to take place live at i-City in Shah Alam city on July 24.
BEAST will be the second K-pop group ever to take part in the show following the Wonder Girls participation at the event the previous year.
Other prestigious artists attending the show will include Thirty Second To Mars that won the award for best rock video at the MTV Video Music Award.
They debuted in Japan with their first Japanese single “SHOCK," which was placed second on Japan's Oricon weekly chart in mid-March and is set to promote its second Japanese single “Bad Girl” in the same country from today and kick off with their aforementioned Asia fan meeting tour starting in Malaysia on July 1.
