Korean singer Kim Hyung-jun will release his first Japanese single and embark on a tour in Asia starting next month, according to his agency S-Plus Entertainment.
An official from S-Plus told 10Asia over the phone on Monday that Kim's new single, to be produced in two editions, will go on sale on July 27, while he will kick off his Asia tour next week in Singapore.
Kim made his debut as one of the members of popular boy band SS501 in 2005, producing several hit songs such as “Warning,” “My Girl,” “Love Ya” and “Love Like This.” After the group's contract with DSP Media expired, he signed with S-Plus Entertainment in August 2010.
He made his comeback to the local music scene with the release of his first mini-album "My Girl," featuring a total of five tracks, in early March and promoted title track "oH aH." He officially kicked off his activities in Japan after signing with major Japanese record company AVEX in January.
