Korean singer Kim Hyung-jun will release his first Japanese single and embark on a tour in Asia starting next month, according to his agency S-Plus Entertainment.

An official from S-Plus told 10Asia over the phone on Monday that Kim's new single, to be produced in two editions, will go on sale on July 27, while he will kick off his Asia tour next week in Singapore. "Kim will be leaving for Singapore at the end of this week for his concert and then head off to Jakarta of Indonesia for a show and perform in Hong Kong till the end of July," the official explained. "He will then visit Japan for his 'Summer Festival Tour' where he will hold a series of seven shows in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya till the end of August."

Kim made his debut as one of the members of popular boy band SS501 in 2005, producing several hit songs such as “Warning,” “My Girl,” “Love Ya” and “Love Like This.” After the group's contract with DSP Media expired, he signed with S-Plus Entertainment in August 2010.

He made his comeback to the local music scene with the release of his first mini-album "My Girl," featuring a total of five tracks, in early March and promoted title track "oH aH." He officially kicked off his activities in Japan after signing with major Japanese record company AVEX in January. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
