4Men celebrates double win on Mnet charts

Korean ballad trio 4Men have placed on top of cable music channel Mnet's singles and album charts during the week of August 30 to September 5.

The group's latest single "U" made its way to the No. 1 spot, shooting up eight slots from last week and knocking down two-week winner "Madonna" by girl band Secret to sixth place.

Holding onto its position in second place was FT Island's new song "Love, love, love" and placing in at No. 3 was "Even Thought of Marriage" by singer Wheesung, which climbed up four spots from the previous week.

On the albums chart, 4Men's new mini-album featuring the title track "U," won the title as the best-selling record for the first week of September, while "beautiful journey" by rock band FT Island maintained its spot at No. 2 and Wheesung's latest single "Realslow is Back" rounded out the top three.

4Men made their debut in music in 1998 and since then have seen several changes in the members over the years. The current members are composed of Kim Young-jae, Shin Yong-jae and Kim Won-joo and they have been promoting their latest title track and album since its release on August 26.
