Korean idols ZE:A have been invited to perform at a fashion show in Japan, according to their agency Star Empire Entertainment.
On Friday, Star Empire announced in a press release that ZE:A will take the stage at Japan's fashion and music event "Girls Awards 2011" to be held at Tokyo's Yoyogi National Gymnasium on April 29.
"The boys are scheduled to leave for Japan today and will return to Korea after the event," a PR official from Star Empire told 10Asia over the phone.
She further explained that ZE:A leader Moon Jun-young, who suffered an orbital fracture to his left cheekbone last month, will join the members for the performance while Dong-jun will stay in Korea due to his role in musical "Aladdin."
Composed of other members Jung Hee-cheol, Kevin, Hwang Kwang-hee, Ha Min-woo, Siwan and Kim Tae-heon, ZE:A (Children of Empire) made their debut in January of last year with song "Mazeltov" from their first mini-album "Nativity" and followed it up with "Leap for Detonation" and "Level Up."
The group branched out into the music market in Japan after performing on music program "SEOUL TRAIN," which introduces K-pop artists to local fans, in early March 2010 and signed with Japanese entertainment company IMX two months later.
They placed at No. 3 on Oricon's daily singles chart with their first Japanese album "ZE:A!" and held a sold-out concert in the country as well as playing the male leads in the Japan-Korea collaboration film "RONIN POP."
