Korean singer-turned-actress Sung Yu-ri will make her comeback to small screen after a two-year hiatus with a role in an upcoming KBS TV series, according to her agency King Kong Entertainment on Wednesday.
King Kong announced in a press release that Sung will play the female lead in the new KBS drama tentatively titled "Nannies." She is set to take on the role of No Soon-keum, an individual who is not afraid of the world and works as a nanny to the children of some of the richest people.
"Nannies," helmed by director Hwang Eui-kyung and written by scenarist Seo Sook-hyang, is scheduled to air every Wednesday and Thursday nights starting May 11 after current show "The Thorn Birds" finishes its run.
Sung, who debuted as a member of the former four-member girl band Fin.K.L in 1998, took to the small screen several years later to star in several TV series including "Thousand Years of Love" and most recently "Swallow the Sun".
