Korean idol group 2PM will kickstart their activities to promote their new album today, starting by giving a comeback performance on cable music channel Mnet, the group's agency said on Thursday.

"2PM will officially start promoting their first full-length album '01:59PM' by performing at Mnet's 'Oh Good! Concert' today," JYP Entertainment (JYPE) said in a press release.

The group is expected to sing title song "Heartbeat", written and composed by their producer Park Jin-young, also founder and owner of JYPE.

The new album carries a total of 13 tracks, including seven new songs and six remix versions of songs from their current and former single albums.

The full album was released on various Internet sites prior to its offline release, also today, and many of the songs have already entered various music charts.

2PM, one of the most popular idol groups in Korea, had been preparing for a comeback since leader Park Jae-beom quit the group in early September over controversial comments he made about Korea on his MySpace account before his debut.
