f(x) to open Beyonce's Seoul concert

Korean idol group f(x) is set to open pop star Beyonce's Seoul concert later this month, according to their agency on Wednesday.

The girl band has been officially invited to perform at Beyonce's second concert in Korea, "BEYONCE I AM … TOUR IN SEOUL 2009", SM Entertainment said in a press release.

"We are really honored and glad to be the guest performers at world star Beyonce's concert," the group was quoted as saying. "We will try to give the audience a great performance, so please look forward to it."

f(x), composed of five members with an average age of 16.6, debuted on September 1 with the single "Lachata".

The concert will be held at Seoul's Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium on October 20 and 21.
