Song Seung-heon looking into new drama role
Top Korean actor Song Seung-heon is looking into appearing in an upcoming TV series by top writer Kim Soo-hyun, according to his agency Storm S. Company on Friday.
An official at Storm S told 10Asia over the phone that Song has been asked to star in the show, a Monday and Tuesdays primetime series tentatively titled "Forget-me-not," but have yet to make a decision.
The show's producer too confirmed that they are talking on Song's appearance although nothing has been set as of yet.
The upcoming drama, Kim's first mini-series in four years, is set to depict on a man who raises his child alone after his wife dies.
Kim will collaborate with producer Jung Eul-young, whom she worked with previously for several family dramas including "Angry Mom" and "My Man's Woman".
The new series, set to be aired by major broadcaster SBS starting late September, is expected to premiere after "The Warrior, Baek Dong-soo," starting July 4, finishes its run.
Song, 34, has been one of Korea's hottest male actors since appearing in popular sitcom "Three Guys and Three Girls" (MBC, 1996) and has since starred in many television dramas and films including the smash hits "Autumn Tale" (KBS2, 2000), "Summer Scent" (KBS2, 2003) and "East of Eden" (MBC, 2008).
