Jang Keun-suk purchases 10 million-range building

Actor Jang Keun-suk has been found to have purchased a building in the 10 million-dollar range.

An official at Jang's agency Tree J. Company said Thursday, "We checked with him and he confirmed that he recently bought the building."

Earlier in the day, a local media outlet had reported that Jang, 23, had acquired a building in the Nonhyun district of Seoul formally owned by TV personality Seo Sae-won.

"We had not been aware of his purchase at first so we were surprised when we first saw the news today but he has led a long and successful career for his age and is thrifty," the official added of the actor who made his debut at the young age of five as a catalogue model.

He is now one of the most popular Korean celebrities in Asia, his fame in the region shooting after he played the eccentric lead singer of the idol group A.N.JELL in 2009 SBS hit series "He's Beautiful."

Most recently, he won the award for Most Influential Korean Artist at the 15th China Music Award and Asian Influential Awards (CMA), dubbed the Grammys of the East, that took place in Chengdu, China last Friday.

He is also set to release his first single album in Japan on April 27 and is currently busy preparing for his upcoming Asia tour where he will visit several cities including Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan and Shanghai starting this week.

Starting May, Jang will film his upcoming movie based on Japanese manga "きみはペット" (You’re My Pet)" opposite actress Kim Ha-neul.
