Korean boy band U-Kiss [NH Media]

Korean boy band U-Kiss has left for the United States to take part in a music festival along with a number of other K-pop artists, according to their agency NH Media on Friday.


NH announced in a press release that U-Kiss has been invited to take the stage at the Korean Music Festival 9 to be held at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles of California on April 30, making it the group's first-ever performance in the United States.

Other Korean singers that will join the festivities include 4minute, Kim Jang-hoo, K.will, Jeong Soo-ra, Baek Ji-young, Jeon Young-rok, G.NA, Jay Park, Secret, Song So-hee, 1st Generation Jazz Band, DJ D.O.C, SISTAR, Sul Woon-do and Lee Eun-ha.


The statement added that U-Kiss will then prepare for their promotional tour in Asia where they will be visiting Thailand, Japan, Taiwan and Malaysia as well as hold a fan meeting and showcase in Brunei starting next month.

U-Kiss (Ubiquitous Korean International Super Star) made their debut with single album "New Generation" in September 2008. They have produced a number of hit songs including "Shut Up," "Manmanhani," and "Round and Round."


They have also branched out into the music market in Japan, holding their first solo concert in Japan which was attended by over 5,000 fans late last year.

The boys made a successful return to the local music scene with their fifth mini-album “Bran New Kiss” in March and have topped a number of online music charts with title track "0330."
