f(x)’s “Danger” takes over weekly Mnet chart

Idol group f(x)’s new song “Danger” debuted atop music cable channel Mnet’s weekly singles chart from April 18 to 24.

“Danger,” from the girls' first regular album “PINOCCHIO,” is an electronic pop dance number with lyrics that express a girl’s desire to want to know everything about the person she fell in love with, likening him to the puppet Pinocchio.

The No. 2 spot was claimed by 2NE1 member Park Bom’s song “DON’T CRY,” from her first digital album of the same name, which reminisces about one's past love.

Supreme Team’s “I Was Too Arrogant” from their digital single “Hommage to Quincy Jones,” jumped 10 steps to reach the third slot on the weekly list.

The song, with a featuring by GaeKo of DYNAMIC DUO, is about a guy who regrets breaking up with his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, f(x) proved to be successful on the albums chart as well, placing its aforementioned album “PINOCCHIO” on top of the chart.

The album which is made up of 10 tracks including “Sweet Witches,” “Dangerous” and “Beautiful Goodbye,” went on sale on April 20.

The compilation album “I’m A Singer: Competition 2 - Swapping Hit Songs” from MBC’s music reality show slid down a step to take second place.

The album contains the performance of seven popular singers in the country who competed with each other to find out the best vocalist by performing to past hit songs of the other.

Male group Big Bang’s special edition album too went down a notch to land at No. 3.

The album, released in early April is made up of double title tracks “LOVE SONG” and “STUPID LIAR” as well as other hit songs from their fourth mini-album.
