Second lineup of Rainbow Festival announced

The second lineup for the upcoming Rainbow Festival 2011 has been announced, according to the music fest's official website and concert promoter's VU Entertainment on Thursday.

Rainbow Festival's webpage showed that international artist R&B singer Brian McKnight and British songstress KT Tunstall will perform on the stage of the first-ever music event for two days starting July 2 this year held at Namisum in the Gangwondo Province.

KT Tunstall, performing in Korea for the first time, will play on the first day of the event while Brian McKnight, in the country for the third time, will perform the following day.

Local artists who will take part in the event include No Reply, Daybreak, Raspberry Field, Lucite Tokki, Monni, Sogyumo Acacia Band, Dalmoon, Ibadi, Jang Jae-in, Dawny Boom, IDEOTAPE, The Koxx, Soulscape, YB, 9andthenumbers and 10cm.

McKnight made his debut in 1992 with the self-titled album "Brian McKnight" and has since released eight more albums. Seven of his albums went platinum and sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

The singer, famous for his impeccable vocals and songwriting skills, has collaborated with some of the most successful pop artists in the world including Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Justin Timberlake.

He has been nominated for numerous music awards over the years while a recipient of the Soul Train Awards, the NAACP Image Awards, the American Music Awards and Billboard Songwriter of the Year.

Born Kate Victoria, KT Tunstall is a Scottish born singer-songwriter and guitarist. She broke into the mainstream music scene after her live solo performance in 2004 where she performed her hit song "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree."

She later enjoyed commercial and critical success, releasing three studio albums "Eye to the Telescope (2004)", "Drastic Fantastic (2007)" and "Tiger Suit (2010)." She has also been nominated for the BRIT Award and a Grammy Award.
