Hundreds to fly in from overseas for Kim Jeong-hoon fan meeting

Several hundred fans from overseas will visit Korea this weekend to attend singer Kim Jeong-hoon's fan meeting, according to his agency Mersenne Entertainment on Friday.

Mersenne announced in a press release that over 600 fans from Japan, the Greater China region and Southeast Asia are expected to fly into the country to take part in his first meet-and-greet to be held in Seoul on April 10, his first official fan event after being discharged from the military in late February.

"I am very excited and extremely happy that I will be able to meet my fans after two years," Kim was quoted as saying. "I have prepared various events for the fan meeting to repay my fans for coming all this way just to see me."

Last week, his agency revealed the album cover for his upcoming release which showed a more masculine side of Kim, while the record will go on sale online today and be available offline four days later.

Kim, who debuted through male duo UN in 2000, turned to acting and a solo singing career which has gained him enough popularity in Japan to list him in the top 10 of the prestigious Oricon charts several times.
