Kim Hyun-joong to model for Lotte Duty Free Shop
Actor and singer Kim Hyun-joong has been selected the new model for Lotte Duty Free Shop, according to his agency KEYEAST on Wednesday.
A press release from KEYEAST explained today that Kim was chosen as the latest model to Lotte Duty Free Shop and late last month, already shot advertisements and recorded song “So I’m Loving You” for commercials.
“Kim is one of the main Hallyu stars whose popularity in Asia will bring about a great synergy effect when combined with other top stars who are the faces for Lotte Duty Free Shop,” a marketing official at Lotte was quoted as saying in the statement in explaining the reason for choosing Kim.
Kim has already appeared in numerous commercials where he has advertised clothes, cosmetics and home appliances as well as for the shopping and banking industry.
Kim, 24, made his debut as the leader of the popular boy band SS501 in 2005. He became a household name throughout Asia, starring in KBS’ smash hit series “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009.
He then played the role of Baek Sung-jo in “Naughty Kiss," the Korean small screen adaptation of the Japanese comic “Itazura na Kiss" last year and visited various countries in Asia to promote the show.

He is currently preparing for the release of his solo album which will be released sometime in May.
