SHINee member infected with influenza flu

Korean pop group SHINee member Jonghyun has been infected with the influenza flu, according to his agency on Tuesday.

The pop idol went to the hospital yesterday after showing symptoms of the cold, and was diagnosed this morning with the influenza flu, SM Entertainment said in a press release.

With the singer currently recovering at his home, the boy band will be promoting their recent hit single "Ring Ding Dong" as a four-member group until Jonghyun makes a full recovery.

SHINee, one of the most popular idol groups in Korea, has had several K-pop hits, most notably their debut single "Older Girl, You're So Pretty" and the recent chart topper "Juliette" earlier this year.

They released their third mini-album "2009, Year Of Us" less than two weeks ago, which has topped various music charts in Korea.
