SHINee to perform at the London Korean Film Festival next month

Korean boy band SHINee has been invited to an upcoming film festival in London next month, according to its official website.

The website revealed on Wednesday that SHINee will sing for the 6th annual London Korean Film Festival's opening gala presentation to be held at the Odeon West End, Leicester Square on November 3.

The film fest will kick off the same day with opening pic "Arrow The Ultimate Weapon" and end 15 days later with director Ryoo Seung-wan's action feature "The Unjust."

A number of acclaimed Korean movies will be shown at the fest including "Sunny," "The Frontline," "Detective K: Secret of The Virtuous Woman," "Dance Town," "Poongsan" and "Chaser."

The London Korean Film Festival focuses on the thrillers and horror pictures from North and South Korea while this year the fest will hold a retrospective on famed Korean auteur Ryoo Seung-wan.

Composed of members Key, Minho, Jonghyun, Onew and Taemin, SHINee is one of Korea's most popular male groups who made their debut in 2008 under major talenthouse SM Entertainment.

The boys became the first Asian singers to perform at the Abbey Road Studios in London in June before they made their official debut in Japan under EMI Music Japan (a subsidiary of British music company EMI Group Ltd).
