Wonder Girls on the set of their new music video [JYP Entertainment]

K-pop female idols Wonder Girls will make their long-awaited comeback to the local music scene with a studio release early next month, according to a press release from their agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE) on Thursday.


JYPE said that the Wonder Girls will unveil their new album in early November which they will promote in Korea till the end of the month.

Their upcoming Korean album will mark their return since their last release "2 Different Tears" in May of last year.


The press release then stated that the girls will visit several countries in the Asia region in December for various fan events and then fly to the United States for the premiere of U.S.'s TeenNick TV-Movie "Wonder Girls at the Apollo" in early 2012.

In the meantime, the girls have returned to the country after shooting "Wonder Girls at the Apollo" and have been busy putting the final touches on their new album and have shot their music video as well.


"The members have put in all their energy in perfecting the songs and choreography for the new album which will show a different side to the girls," an official with JYPE was quoted as saying.


Wonder Girls made their debut in 2007 and has since produced a score of hit songs including "Tell Me," "So Hot" and "Nobody."

The girls crossed over into the pop market in the United States in 2009, taking the stage as the opening act for the famous Jonas brothers and releasing their debut single "Nobody."
