Girls' Generation releases 2nd teaser trailer for Japanese album
Korean female idols Girls' Generation have unveiled another trailer for their first full-length Japanese album.
The preview, posted on the group's agency SM Entertainment's official YouTube channel yesterday, is five minutes long and features short snippets of all the tracks from their upcoming record titled "GIRLS' GENERATION" set to go on sale on June 1. An initial trailer, three minutes long, was released online last week.
"GIRLS' GENERATION," to be produced in three editions -- a deluxe first press limited edition, limited edition and regular edition -- will feature 12 of their hit songs including the Japanese version of "GENIE," "Gee," "Run Devil Run" and "MR. TAXI."
Girls' Generation's Japanese singles "GENIE," "Gee" and "MR.TAXI/Run Devil Run,” recently released in Korea, had topped Japan's prestigious Oricon chart as well as selling over 100,000 copies to become certified gold by the prestigious Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
Currently one of the most well-known female idol groups in Asia, Girl's Generation made their debut in Korea in 2007 under SM Entertainment with their first album "Into the New World" and have produced a several hit songs including "Gee," "Genie" and "Oh!"
The group is now preparing for a nationwide tour in Japan where they will hold 10 concerts in six cities starting with Osaka on May 31 and then head off to Tokyo, Saitama, Hiroshima, Nagoya and Fukuoka till July 17.
