Korean film "Just Friends?" wins at film festival in Amsterdam
Korean film "Just Friends?" has won an award at the Amsterdam Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, according to the film fest's official website on Wednesday.
"Just Friends?", helmed by Korean director Kim Jho Gwang-soo, took home the prize under the Unexpected Encounters category during this year's film fest held in Amsterdam from March 10 to 20.
Meanwhile, Kim wrote a comment on his official Twitter account (http://twitter.com/kimjhogwangsoo) about his recent win saying, "Please congratulate me. My film 'Just Friends?' won at the Amsterdam Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. I am so happy!"
"Just Friends?," which stars actors Seo Ji-woo and Lee Jae-hoon, tells the story of Min-soo (played by Seo) who visits his boyfriend Seok-yi (played by Lee) that is serving his mandatory two-year military service. During the visit Min-soo and Seok-yi run into Seok-yi's mother who is unaware of their relationship.

Kim is well known in the film industry for his works including "No Regret (2006)," "Boys of Tomorrow (2006)" and "Come, Closer (2010)." He recently took part in producing the Korean film "Detective K: Secret of Virtuous Widow," an 18th century Korean style detective story.
