Kara album goes platinum in Japan
Kara's first full-length Japanese album “Girl's Talk” has gone platinum in Japan, making them the first Korean girl group to achieve the feat.
According to data released on the website of the official Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on January 14, Kara's record, along with the Beatles' 1962 album, won platinum disc status which is handed to records or DVDs that sell over 250,000 copies.
“Girl's Talk,” released in November 2010, contains Kara’s past hit songs in Korea recorded in Japanese and is available in three editions - A (includes the album and special DVD), B (includes the album and special pictorial booklet) and C (includes the album and three bonus tracks).
The DVD features never-before-seen clips while the three bonus tracks are the original Korean version of songs "Sweet Days," "Love Is" and "Binks."

Kara, composed of five members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, debuted in 2007 and are well-known in Korea for their hit songs "Mister," "Wanna" and "Lupin."
