Korean pop sensation MBLAQ scored a win on Mnet's televised music program yesterday, their first time to take first place on a music show since making a debut eight months ago.
The boys beat out five-member boy band SS501 on Mnet's "M! Countdown" with their second single "Y," which was released online on May 16 and went on sale two days later.
An official at J.Tune remarked through a press release, "We were able to see such a great achievement thanks to the efforts of the five members of MBLAQ. We thank them for their efforts and their fans for always supporting them."
MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality), composed of other members Chun-dung and Mir, was discovered and trained by Asian pop sensation Rain under his label J.Tune. They made their debut in 2009 with their single album "Just BLAQ."
