Groom-to-be actor Jo Han-sun said he has recently been busy preparing for his marriage next year.

“We don’t have much time left so we’ve been very busy with it these days. There’s more to prepare for than I expected,” Jo told reporters during a press conference for his film “Attack the Gas Station 2” on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old actor had taken fans by surprise in early November after announcing he would marry his girlfriend of two years on January 9 who was also 13-weeks pregnant.

Jo, who rose to stardom through debut sitcom Nonstop 3 in 2002, took on the role of a soccer player who gets cuts from his team after becoming involved in an assault case.

“I used to be a soccer player so it helped a lot with my acting this time… especially in feeling the emotions my character undergoes when he has to quit the team,” Jo explained.

Director Kim Sang-jin, who helmed the hit prequel of 1999 which placed actors such as Lee Jung-jae, Yoo Oh-sung and Yoo Ji-tae onto stardom, cast Jo, Ji Hyun-woo and girl group T-ara member Ji-yeon for the sequel set for release on January 21
