Super Junior member Kang-in turned himself into police on Friday morning after driving into a taxi with his car and then leaving the scene. He had been drunk driving.


According to Seoul Gangnam Police Station, the 24-year-old singer had been driving after drinking when he collided into a taxi at a halt around 3 a.m. He left his vehicle and fled to a nearby alley but turned himself into police around 9 a.m.

Police said Kang-in's alcohol level stood at 0.082 percent upon his arrival at the station, meaning his driving license would be suspended.

Three people who were in the taxi, including the driver and two passengers, were not injured.

Kang-in, a vocal of the popular 13-member boy band Super Junior, had stopped making public appearances after being confirmed to have engaged in assault at a bar less than a month ago.
