Fans of popular boy band 2PM over the weekend declared it will boycott against the group resuming its activities with its remaining six members unless agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE) reinstates former leader Park Jae-beom.
"We strongly demand JYPE to withdraw its decision allowing Park Jae-beom to leave the group and will fully boycott a six-member 2PM," announced Underground, an alliance of the group's fan clubs, in a statement on Sunday.
"We had constantly urged for the withdrawal of allowing Park's departure, not his unconditional and immediate return to it," the statement said. "Therefore, we are sorry to see producer Park Jin-young's misunderstanding and the break in communication which arose due to this."
The fans also asked for other details including the former leader's remaining term and conditions of contract with the group, clarification into whether Park Jin-young meant he will help Jae-beom return to the group 2PM when the singer wishes to and an officially apology for scarring Jae-beom and his family with the agency's lack of responsibility.

Park Jin-young announced last week that the boy band will resume its activities as a six-member group without its former leader.
Park Jae-beom had quit the group and left for the United States over controversial remarks he made on his MySpace account between 2005 and 2007 before his debut.
