Super Junior Vies for Best Asia Act at MTV EMA 2012

King of K-pop Super Junior is set to show off their overwhelming popularity to the European music fans.

Super Junior has been shortlisted for Best Asia Act category at the MTV EMA 2012, which will open at the Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany on November 11.

If the “Sexy, Free & Single” singers beat out other named Asian musicians--EXILE, Han Geng, Jolin Tsai and Yu Na--the group will vie for the World Wide Act nomination which was established last year.

For the first World Wide Act award, K-pop icon Big Bang won the trophy in Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Meanwhile, Billboard No. 2 star PSY will bring his sensational tune “Gangnam Style” to the popular awards as he has been nominated under the Best Video category, which gives out the grand prize.

PSY is the first Asian musician who has been named for the highlighted segment, going shoulder to shoulder with pop musicians Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, M.I.A. and Rihanna.

Hosted by named model and emcee Heidi Klum, a few of the world’s favorite musicians such as Muse, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rita Ora and No Doubt will heat up the stage that evening.
