Korean pop group the Wonder Girls has kicked off the group's first-ever Asia tour.

The "Like This" singers, who have been promoting "Like Money," the collaboration with hip-hop musician Akon, held the grand opening of the "Wonder World Tour 2012" at Singapore's Resorts World Sentosa on September 8, according to JYP Entertainment's press release Sunday.

With the help of JJ Project members as the opening acts, the girls were joined by some 40,000 fans who came to see the start of their grand tour that will also be held in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Starting with "Like This," the title single off the second mini-album "Wonder Party," they sang and danced to 23 songs including their hits "So Hot," "2 Different Tears," "The DJ is Mine" and "Tell Me."

"We're truly grateful to the Wonder Girls' Singaporean fans who came to the group's first Asia tour," an official from the JYP said in the statement.

"We're asking for your love and support for the group to wrap up the rest of the shows successfully."

To connect better with fans from different countries, the firm said it has prepared the traditional costumes of the five aforementioned countries. The next concert for "Wonder World Tour 2012" will open in Malaysia on October 13.
